Steven has a background Law and Commerce, and brings over five years working across different business units inside Australia's major lenders, seeing firsthand how banks actually assess, approve and structure home loans.

Working at a bank means working with one lender's products, one set of , and one appetite for risk. That experience is exactly why he started Initio Finance in 2024.

Initio is Latin for "from the beginning" - a fitting name for a business that has been built to be there from the start, right through to whatever comes next in life.

Since then, he's helped over 200 Aussies achieve better financial outcomes either purchase their first home, refinance their mortgage, or consolidate their debt - settling more than $100 million in loans with a 99.4% approval rate.
